Ode to an amazing Artist and Woman

My mom is on facebook and has albums up of old photos that I just had to look at. They all had me teary eyed, whether it was from laughing at the old styles and ways or just from old memories that were amazing and have slipped my mind until seeing that again.

I came across another one of her albums and I really paid attention I think for the first time since I was 6 or so to what an amazing artist she really is. She has been oil painting for a long time since before she had me or my sisters and she still does it to this day which I think is just remarkable.

She's very modest about what she does and has thought of putting them in galleries when the offer was there but then thought, "It's not good enough" (hmmm so that's where I get it from) but I can tell you it's too good for any ol' gallery.

An amazing talent from an amazing woman who has put up with a lot, and overcame it without ever raising her fists or her voice, yes, it can be done.
