The Joker is the Thief

I love stand up comedy and I respect the people who do it well. Such legends as Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy, I could go on and on.

It's a skill to constantly come up with fresh original material. Some people are faster at it than others and some are faster at it, because their material is not as original as they want us to believe.

Carlos Mencia, the biggest thief in the history of stand up. I never liked this guy as it was but then to see the proof of how he blatantly steals jokes from other people, makes me really hope to see him completely fall flat on his face.

Don't believe me that he's a thief? See for yourself.

Joe Rogan couldn't take it and kept calling him out on it, which you can check out on youtube, since its like ten minutes long. But good on Rogaan for doing that.

Mencia has admitted to stealing jokes...however, im not sure how sincere he is doing it.

Bottom line is, Carlos Mencia is not funny, the people he steals from are.

Until next time, keep it rockin.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

This is my Christmas Present to all of you. Yes....I am cheap, but hear me out.

This is something you can share with your family, as you gather around the computer with your Egg Nog and fresh baked Christmas cookies and start a new family tradition as you enjoy Twas the Night Before Christmas, as read by my friend and yours, Werner Herzog.

Hope you all have a great Christmas. Stay safe and enjoy time with your family.

Until next time, keep it rockin' :)

We all know a duck

Who hasn't been on facebook and seen a picture of at least one of their friends giving that stupid expression known as a "duck face" while holding up the peace sign?

They're everywhere. Hell, even my Radio instructor in College always made fun of them.

And much like Bieber fever, it has taken over the world and there will always be at least 5 people you know with this abnormality.

If you know someone who has this disorder, show them this and maybe, just maybe, we can finally put a stop to it and have girls go back to smiling nicely for the camera and saying cheese instead of Quack.

Until next time, keep it rockin.

Ode to a humble punk

Eight years ago today we lost, in my opinion, one of the greatest poets of punk rock ever, Joe Strummer.

He was only 50 years old. He died from a congenital heart defect in his home in London.

When you think of punk rockers of the 70's and 80's you think the wild, snot nosed, attitude types who didn't give a shit about anything.

This guy was different from the rest. He had the attitude and was bad ass, but this guy was a political punk rocker form the get-go. You can hear it in his work with The Clash, Mescaleros, and his solo work.

Never one to talk shit about other artists, even after the break up of The Clash despite their reasoning for parting ways

Amazing, humble human being.

You hear his influence in so many bands today, especially Green Day and Rancid who often cite Strummer as an idol and hero.

I strongly suggest checking out Combat Rock, London Calling, and the Live at Shea Stadium Clash albums.

I leave you with one of his most popular works.

Thanks Joe.

Until next time, keep it rockin'

Raging Rudolph

It's been a little bit since I've written in this. Busy with Christmas being just around the corner, getting the shopping and wrapping done. Had a family get together the other day, just simply awesome, especially the food :)

Now that everything is coming together, the only other thing to make it feel like Christmas, is of course, the specials.

We watch the same ones over and over again each year, and they are always just as entertaining. Real classics.

But, what if, you took a classic like Rudolph, and combined it with the classic genius of say, Martin Scorsese?

Raging Rudolph! Enjoy this Mad TV Holiday Classic ;)
