Bored to Death

If you are bored to death, a good, entertaining way to beat boredom is the HBO series, Bored to Death.

This show is hilarious.

It stars Jason Schwartzman as Johnathan Ames. I struggling writer who has hired himself out as an unlicensed private detective on craigslist. The guy is a hopeless romantic and as tall as me...cause that matters.

It co-stars Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson. Both are funny in their own right as Galifianakis plays Ray, a comic book writer, his comic book Super Ray is an alter-ego for Ray who received his powers while one day walking down the street after eating some bad food, he fell through a subway grate and hit his dick on the third rail.

Ted Danson plays George, my favorite character in the show. George owns a fictitious magazine called Edition, and his a womanizing pot head. He steals every scene he's in.

Here's the trailer for Season 1.

and here's a scene of Ray and George getting stoned.

Classic.

The show has been picked up for a third season which will air sometime later this year.

Cannot frickin' wait.

Until next time, keep it rockin'

Intelligent Entertainment

I have a huge selection of TV Shows on DVD.

But not ones like most people have I would assume, like Glee or Lost. Anyway, I'm not going to get into my list of what I have, but the most intelligent one I have is Dinosaurs.

Do you remember this fantastic show?

If you don't, I could lend you my DVD of the first two seasons ;)

Like most shows combined with my slow wit, I only paid attention to what made me laugh about the show and never really saw the true messages each episode had.

A very topical show that touched on issues such as drug abuse, racism, obejctification of women, homosexuality (which was actually about herbivores)

There was even a two part epsiode that had the two legged dinosaurs going to war with the four legged dinosaurs, and after doing some research I learned that that was in response to the Persian Gulf War.

The list of issues is way longer than what I have on here, and I've watched the show seeing how intelligent it actually is.

Also, there was the occasional "Ask Mr. Lizard"

hehe, I love it.

Hey, who says you can't be educated and entertained?

Until next time, keep it rockin'

Live by the stars.

So this whole report came out about the astrology signs being moved around because some Professor said something about the Earth being off it's axis from where it was before and the stars not being positioned how they were when horoscopes were first being done.

People freaked out!

Why? Do you really determine how you live because someone writes out an extended fortune cookie fortune in the paper everyday?

Or is it because that "cool" astrological sign tattoo is now not cool? (Now you'd see it how everyone else does)

Anyways, it is now said that nothing is changing, so live your life according to the Chronicle Herald or iPhone app that tells you what choices you should make throughout the week, or..

listen to Dr. Sheldon Cooper.

Until next time, keep it rockin'.

Awesome as F**K!

Coming this March, a new live CD/DVD from Green Day. (My favorite band of all time, btw ;) )

Green Day - Awesome as F**k

Just from this 60 second trailer, it will definitely live up to the title.

Looks like in March I'll be rocking black clothing and ties again.

One of the songs said to be on the CD/DVD is called Cigarettes and Valentines. This song is actually from the album that mysteriously disappeared right before they began recording American Idiot.

Check it out.

Rockin! It still may end up on their next studio album. Hopefully, anyways.

Until next time, keep it rockin'

G-Roc will save us

What's been the biggest enema for a lot of us over the past few years?

Inflamation.

Costs keep rising, but wages stand still. What can we do?

Call G-Roc!

He's helped the good people of Rochester, New York at Inclema's Meat Market.

Think I'm full of it?

Check out this amazing proof.

Look out high prices, G-Roc will save us.

Hm, maybe stores around here should learn to accept Gold and Diamonds like Inclema's.

Until next time, keep it rockin'

Be Proud

So Canada suffered a brutal defeat in the gold medal game at the World Juniors lasat night giving up a three goal lead losing 5-3 to Russia.

Sure, it sucks, now we've only won the last 5 out of 7, I can see where people have given up...give me a break people.

We got Silver. That's impressive. Be proud of the boys, it just wasn't there time, but they'll put up a stronger fight next time.

Aside from the great hockey history we have in Canada, I want to remind people of other reasons and moments to be proud of this great nation.

Georges St-Pierre
Not only arguably the best pound for pound fighter in the UFC as well as the Welterweight Champion, he is one of the most humble, nicest tough guys ever. True Canadian.

Mr. Dressup

Enough said!

Toronto Blue Jays

Remember the 93 World Series? Skip to 1:40, oh yea, I still get chills.

Bret Hart at Wrestlemania X

Even in a scripted world, it takes hard work to be given the chance to be the top guy in a billion dollar company.

So there's a few other moments to remind you of what a proud, awesome country Canada is. Be proud.

And if you're from another country, be sure to look at all the people and moments your country has had over the years and be proud as well.

Until next time, keep it rockin'

Top Five Listens

Here we are early into 2011 and I figured I'd write about my top five songs of 2010.

Although it's a little different. It's not the top five songs that came out in 2010 that I liked, but, it's the top five most listened to songs on my ipod according to itunes. So let's get it started.

5. Turbonegro - F**k The World

This is just a straight up bad ass rock song. I love Turbonegros faster songs but they nailed it with this one. My favorite line, "I've got razorblade lips, I'm gonna kiss some wrists." Easily one of the best songs from one of the best Rock groups out there.

4. Muse - Uprising

Catchy, different, amazing. What more can I say? I was honestly surprised it wasn't one of the top two

3. Spinnerette - Baptized by Fire

I love, love LOVE Brody Dalle. Mmmm. Plus her music is rockin' too. I got into a conversation about her with the lovely Floyd Blaikie and she told me about Spinnerette, and I will always be in debt to her for that. The band is a little less punchy than The Distillers, but just as great. I justg (obviously) could not get enough of this specific track. I wonder if she'd leave Josh Homme for me?

2. Against Me - Stop!

Not only does this band rock, and have become one of my new absolute favorites, but you can tell they enjoy what they do and have fun while writing songs with some serious meaning. This one you can't help but tap your foot or move your head or something. It'll get stuck in your head...go ahead..listen and try to forget it right after, I dare you.

And now, the song I listened to most in 2010..,,

1. Eminem - Not Afraid

This one surprised me as a rock music fan. However when I first heard this I was just amazed at the honesty and maturity in Eminems lyrics. Also, being someone who has gone through a downward spiral for a bit in my life and has come back from it, I could relate to a lot of it. That's what a great song is, something that feels like it's speaking right to you and you understand. Not a synth beat, auto tune and repeating Baby, baby, baby over and over again.

And that's the way it is.

Until next time, keep it rockin'.
