Nothing much to write about, okay, I guess there is since we just had Christmas, but for now I decided to just post a couple of pictures of myself and my family.

I loved seeing a lot of my family this past week, that's the best part of Christmas to me, and I was able to make the most of it.
Once again it's freezing in the basement of Legere Manor. But I am man enough to tough it out and cover myself in a mountain of blankets.
I feel like every second year the wonderful world of Television really spoils those of us in need of some christmas specials, and this year I do feel spoiled a bit.
I have seen quite a few of my old favorites, yet theres still a couple of them I have not seen in a while that I hope the magical land of Teletoon Retro will bring me this year.
Two of the specials I have not seen :
1. Flinstones Christmas
Now I know there are a few different Flinstones Christmas Specials. The Christmas Carol, The one when Santa breaks his leg and Fred and Barney fill in, and the newest one when they take in that juvenile delinquent who doesn't deserve the love of the Flinstones, but alas, another Christmas Miracle on TV. But this one I'm talking about is the first one, Fred became the department store Santa, and then Santa gets a cold and Fred takes over and delivers the gifts. Classic Flintstones, as you can see here Fred rocking it with Twinky and Blinky, Santa's elves.
2. A Jetson Christmas Carol
Ah A Jetson Christmas Carol, not since Alistair Sim in Scrooge has anyone played such a convincing evil character deserving to be visited by Christmas Ghosts like Mr. Spacely. If this doesn't make you think twice about your own actions then no Holiday, ahem, sorry, CHRISTMAS movie will.
If these two somehow get shown this year then I know this will without a doubt be the greatest Christmas ever.

A Christmas Special
I have not seen this one in so many years, yet YTV delivered the goods and brought back an insanely awesome Christmas Special from my childhood. Such a great throwback to when cartoons were actually good, I hope if you have not seen this, that it comes back on and you get to see it, cause as of right now you are missing out. It's so good that if you look closely, yes, even Skeletor is smiling in that picture. Even he could not hide his Christmas Spirit.
And as usual, my all time favorite was on again, in fact it's been on twice so far.
A Garfield Christmas Special
I can watch this one over and over again. Maybe it's because I see a lot of myself in Garfield, or maybe its the feel good moments towards the end, but this is my all time favorite Christmas Special. As surly as my favorite fat, orange cat is, even he succumbs to the wonderful magic of the Christmas Season. Simply Amazing. However, I came across a version of this special with an interesting twist on youtube. If you have not heard of Garfield minus Garfield, I'll give you a tun through. It's Garfield comics without Garfield actually in it. So it really makes Jon Arbuckle look, really pathetic.
So for you, I have Garfield Christmas, the Garfield minus Garfield edition.
My basement is freezing. I know, I know it is December and it is minus 11 outside, but if our freezer was full and we had to store away a frozen turkey we could just leave him in my bedroom and he'd be fine. Yes our frozen turkey would be male and of course he would be called Jerry...were you expecting Tom? Too predictable
It's old news now but I still want to touch on the subject of Adam Lamberts performance at the AMA's a couple weeks ago. There was such an outrage because of his onstage antics, which included kissing another guy and dragging a girl dancer around by the ankle. He was supposed to appear on CBS morning show the next day but they cancelled him. NBC said we'd love to have you on as a guest, smart thinking from them. I'll give you two guesses as to who got the better ratings for that morning slot, but you'll only need one.
Shock Rockers and Performers are not a new thing. What he did is not some new in your face schtick. Look at David Bowie, Freddie Mercury and hell even The Beatles. Get with it people, what he did is he got people talking, and in that line of work if the people ain't talkin about you, then you're finished.
I'm not a fan of his music, but I respect that he's doing his own thing and getting people to pay attention to him, Bravo Adam Lambert. Cause I know some day you will read my blog.
I was at FX 101.9 with Scott George last Thursday and Friday and I must say I've been having a blast and imagine it will continue this week as well. He's a good guy and I now know about organizing my show, Finally!
First semester is pretty much wrapped up for us, in radio anyways hehe. Everyone had their first day at their internships, which from what I can tell was a good time for people.
I am currently back and forth listening to Lee and Stephanie, and they both sound great I must say. It makes me wonder if all of us will return after the Christmas Break, or will some of us be offered jobs and make our way out into the working world.
I'm not really doing an internship this year, as I did one last year in Truro at Big Dog 100.9 which was so much fun. This year however I will spend a couple of days over at FX 101.9 with Scott George and the rest of the time when I am not working I will be at school doing shows.
I did a show today and it was very weird being there without the rest of my Radio Class. Honestly I didn't like it too much, only because it felt like I had failed one more time.
It's great though to have that chance to do extra shows, plus I have time to do extra productions, so there is that benefit to it all.
I'm excited and nervous to go to FX, I'm hoping to learn some stuff and maybe get some on air time, that would be pretty sweet, especially considering it's what I want to do.
I get a lot of people telling me they're suprised that I would go to a country music station. I'm a bit of a fan of country music. I grew up listening to Johnny Cash, Hank Snow, Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings. Then I moved on to newer ones when I was younger, Randy Travis, Marty Stuart, Travis Tritt, Sawyer Brown, Brooks and Dunn.
People think I'm just a rocker haha which I am at heart, but if something catches my ear then I am down for it ;)

Mom and Dad have been busy lately getting the house all decorated for Christmas and along our fireplace is an army of Nutcracker Soldiers, and all of them belong to me hah
I've always had a fascination with them, and since that was brought to my parents attention, every year for Christmas I have received one as a gift and next thing you know I have enough to decorate my own place, whenever it is I get my own place ;) Dear Santa?
Yes, the one on the far right is a mouse standing on a piece of cheese, the possibilities are endless for how these can look.
However with all the newer looking decorations we have now, I cannot help but think of our old tacky ones that we used to have. Paper streamers, a paper bell, cardboard Santa and Reindeer flying across our living room wall and of course my favorite, colored tin foil that covered random bricks on our fire place.
When you walked into our home in those days, you left Sackville and entered Christmas Land. I miss it a lot. When you can't change something though, you need to learn to accept the new and find the good in it, which I have done. Although our holiday decorations don't scream 1970's, I think they wouldn't fit the way our house is designed now, and would be almost like watching a hockey game try to take place on a football field, it just would not work.
The memories of the old will never die, and there are new ones to be had, that's one of the many beautiful things about life. As long as I get to watch Garfields Christmas Special and Charlie Brown, then it's going to be a Merry Christmas :D

We've all faced tough times in life, some just happen, and others we bring upon ourselves.
We just want these times to pass and hope we can move on, especially the ones we brought upon ourselves. Just grab that giant broom and sweep it under the rug. Sometimes though, what was once swept up dirt, transforms into a skeleton that resides in your closet, just waiting to make its presence felt at a later date.
I had a time that I brought upon myself some time ago that I had believed was gone, but just recently it returned, having me pretty much reliving the initial incident.
I won't go into detail what it was, but it has left me feeling like a black cloud.
Here's hoping that this will be my last reminder, and there's relief in knowing I learned the most valuable lesson.
Moving on to something with a bit more light around the edges.
I started my Christmas shopping, and I feel this will be the year that I get it done fast and not last minute
hmm...where's some wood to knock on...ah well, I'm feeling confident ;) (check back here in three weeks for an update on that haha)
Also Mom and Dad picked out a Christmas Tree at a you cut place in Mt. Uniacke, wow, the time just flies. Next thing you know I'll be writing about going to the beach.
I've got a couple of shows this week at school, hopefully I'll put up a clip on here, be sure to check back ;)
As I look at the clock it shows me its time to catch up and take care of business while I can.
My parents and sister are leaving on Wednesday to go to Maine and I wish I could go with them.
Maine is like my PEI of the USA, a place thats not far from here, doesn't have the most tourist attractions, but to go there is always such a breath of fresh air for me.
I know my way around the Bangor Mall more than I do the Halifax Shopping Center or MicMac Mall
In time while they are away I shall be making money, and doing school work
I feel a bit aprehensive (yea that's right, I like to use big words to make me feel smart) I'm scared of a repeat of last year...and I'm not looking forward to it, I just don't know what my problem is, but I guess we'll see how that goes when it comes time.
I would really like to do a radio show, I've just got the itch right now to do one.
The thought of doing a radio show for a living actually is a hard thought to take in, it just feels surreal but I hope it becomes a reality. I enjoy what I do a lot and am finally sure about what direction I want to take my life in, there's always bumps in the road but hopefully I'll be able to get around them at no huge cost.
I was watching George Carlin : Life Is Worth Losing, oh my god, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time, and I needed it. As blatant and blunt as his observations of human behaviour are so accurate and well he reminds me of myself with some of my opinions I have haha just youtube a video of him please, I'd post something here, but I think it may be too crude for here, so you know where to go ;) haha
