Green Day are releasing a box set of all of their albums, including their latest album "Revolution Radio", and they will all be on cassette.
Along with all of the cassettes, the coolest feature of this box set has to be the working Green Day boombox that is included with this.
The band will release this for purchase on December 9th with a hefty price tag of $249.99
For anyone who has my name in a secret Santa draw...just sayin'.

More Easter Egg ideas.
No one can deny the popularity of Angry Birds. From a simple app for your smart phone to a global phenomenon that includes toys and clothing. How could you not want to include them in your Easter decorations. Once Easter is over you can even play a game of Angry Birds with the eggs. Or...maybe not. Read more about this idea and others here.
I'm a big Tim Burton fan, but these are not my eggs. Perhaps this year they will be. A nice tribute to some great Burton characters for that person who likes celebrating Easter but is more of a Halloween fan. I found this idea here.
I had a geek out moment when I found these gems. Mario fan? You're welcome. Don't thank me though. Thank the website geekosystem.com and if you're a fan of Dr. Who, Star Wars, Futurama and more, you will be so grateful you checked them out.
I hope you have found these useful or at least found them to be neat. Be sure to check out those sites that I linked to for more great ideas and maybe in the future I'll have some of your ideas posted here.
If you're on twitter you can find me @OlTubby
Until next time, take care.

Wrestlemania 29 Predictions
Wrestlemania 29 is just around the corner and despite the card feeling underwhelming to most, I am actually excited for it. You never know if a swerve or character change could happen, but one thing is always guaranteed and that is that everyone who steps in the ring will give it their all.
I've been going over in my head what could possibly happen and there's way too many potential scenarios. I'm more than likely doing fantasy overbooking.
Anyway, I've decided to try out some predictions. More so for who I think will go over, but I'll throw in some thoughts of what I think or would like to see happen.
1. Rhodes Scholars & Bellas vs. Tons of Funk & Funkadactyls - This should be a quick fun match. I say Tons of Funk and Funkadactyls go over here. Do some dancing at the end and keep the crowd alive.
2. Mark Henry vs. The Ryback - It was said that these two could be looking at having about 10 minutes which could be pretty brutal, especially after hearing the matches at the house shows were not good at all. Hopefully that brought a change of making the match length shorter. Mark Henry won't be hurt by a loss here. The guy was able to be taken seriously after being called Sexual Chocolate and knocking up Mae Young only to father a hand. After being booked poorly and having cooled off, this will be Ryback's moment to regain momentum, and I really hope that they have practiced the Shell Shock spot. If not, at least we'll relive it through Botchamania. Ryback goes over.

3. Fandango vs. Chris Jericho - I am very interested in this one. Fandango isn't new to a WWE ring but for a lot of people, they didn't ever see Johnny Curtis on NXT. He is talented and can handle himself in the ring. Being in the ring with Chris Jericho can only make it that much better. Fandango is a Vince McMahon project and I imagine that means the rocket is strapped to him. Also, Jericho is the guy who loves to make new talent and wants to do what's best for business. Fandango wins a big debut.

4. Team Hell No vs. Ziggler and Big E - This is where I start my fantasy overbooking. Team Hell No have been entertaining for the most part and I'm still not bored of them, but all good things come to an end. In wrestling, anyway. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, there is talks of a big push coming for Dolph, Big E. and AJ. I think this is where it starts and they become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

5. The Shield vs. Orton, Show, Sheamus - The Shield have been on a roll since they made their debut last year. Very few matches but they've made a huge impact and have carried themselves to the point that you know it was no mistake in putting them in high profile matches. Each of them can be and more than likely will be big singles stars in the future. For right now I see the trio staying strong and taking the win on the grandest stage of them all. However, it may not come in such dominant fashion. This is a prime match for a turn to happen. Maybe it won't be at Wrestlemania. Perhaps it will happen the next night on Raw, but I think he will finally get his wish and Randy Orton turns heel. Not in a way that he aligns himself with The Shield because they don't need him and, well..we all remember Legacy. Shield are victorious.

6. Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H - Triple H comes out of retirement for a retirement match. It makes a lot of sense. Okay, maybe that doesn't, but the story of getting revenge on a guy who has attacked you and your friends and family makes a lot of sense in any walk of life. No holds barred here. I expect a lot of weapons and interference. I listened to Lance Storm on Figure Four Daily with Bryan Alvarez today and he had a scenario laid out for Shawn Michaels costing Triple H the match and them having one final non-sanctioned match. I love his idea, but I think it's too good. I think they stick with the obvious and Triple H gets his win back.

7. Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger - I have actually enjoyed this feud. Yeah, some moments were forgettable I guess. Okay, I know they were. I was really happy to see Swagger get a revamp. If only that DUI didn't happen. I was surprised they still stuck with the plan of this match. I think the crowd will be interesting in this one too. A couple weeks ago on Raw there was huge USA chant. Definitely the heel friendly, snarky crowd. The same crowd Wrestlemania brings in, especially in the North East. Crowd reaction aside, Del Rio retains here as they will continue to push him as the top Hispanic babyface. I will make the bold prediction that the push for Dolph continues and he cashes in and holds double gold by the end of the night. The crowd will probably pop huge, but in the long run Del Rio will still be booked as the chasing face and wrestling 101 says that's where the money is.
8. The Undertaker vs. CM Punk - The build for this has been lackluster from the get go. I was hoping that Punk would cut a promo about doing what no one else did in the past 25 years by having the longest WWE Title reign, and now he's moving on to do something else no one else could do. Break the streak. Just hyping himself up as the only guy who will accomplish all other things and claiming he's the only one who can after proving himself as the best. It's simple and effective. It's unfortunate that the tragic passing of William "Paul Bearer" Moody has really been the only thing that has added heat to this story. I have no problem with anything they've done and I loved the angle on this past weeks Raw. Punk is claiming to be in The Undertaker's head, and if they can have that moment in the match where you think "Shit! Punk may do it" then that's all we really need. As much of a Punk mark as I am, and he is the only one who could really benefit right now from breaking the streak, no one should ever break it. It's legendary and should stay perfect and will. Undertaker becomes 21-0 at Wrestlemania. Another match I'm eager to hear how the crowd goes. Undertaker will not be booed, but CM Punk will have his fans.
9. The Rock vs. John Cena - If this week's Raw was any indication of the crowd, I imagine Cena will not be the most liked guy. A lot of people are speculating a heel turn for Cena. There's even reports that Vince McMahon was less against the thought after the crowd chanted "boring" at Cena this week. It's not happening. Maybe he'll play more heelish in the match, but the guy does huge sales in merchandise and has granted more wishes for Make-A-Wish than anyone else in and outside of wrestling. I always dreamed of a Hogan-style turn, but when Hogan did it, he wasn't at the top with the fans anymore. It had clearly run its course. That's not the case for Cena. I see him going over The Rock this year and gaining The Rocks respect, closing out Wrestlemania with that feel good moment that hopefully the crowd won't shit all over.
So those are my picks for Wrestlemania 29.
Oh yea, Miz and Wade Barrett on the pre-show for the IC Title. Ah, I'll say Barrett retains. Miz winning won't spark any hype encouraging people to order last minute.
Those who are going to order already have their mind made up based on the top matches.
Hopefully Antonio Cesaro gets added to the pre-show. He deserves the main card, but there's only so much room. If anyone should be on there though, it's him after having great matches with pretty much anyone he steps in the ring with.

A Chucklewood Easter
I'm sure I posted this one a couple of years back, but it's just such a classic to me and if you've never heard of it, well, this is me giving back to you.
It's called a Chucklewood Easter.
The gang from Chucklewood Forest have had other specials as well, but this one was a staple of my childhood.
Hope you enjoy.
Wasn't it great? Nothing says Easter like two kids who stalk and almost kill the Easter Bunny and ending up on trial.....not sure how I didn't catch all of that as a kid.
Do you have any favourite Easter Specials? Drop a line below or on twitter @OlTubby

The Last Halloween
Hard to believe that this is my 100th entry. What started off as a mandatory weekly assignment for my Communications class in College, is now where I post the most random stuff I can think of. Of course most of it is about pro wrestling, because in case you haven't figured it out by now, I am a pro wrestling nerd and not ashamed of it.
However, now we are into my favourite month of the year. October. Judging by Twitter it seems I am far from alone on that.
You have Thanksgiving (For us Canadians). The leaves change colour. There's a crispness to the air. Also, there is Halloween. Of course at 27, I would look silly dressing up and trick or treating (Don't put it past me though) but what I enjoy most of all are the Halloween specials. I've already watched the Roseanne Halloween specials and the old 1993 classic, Hocus Pocus.
There was one I remember watching as a kid. It was a made for TV movie which involved aliens coming to earth and needing candy. The town they landed in had one candy factory and it was closing out and people would be out of work, and it made a lot of the people in town slightly depressed and sad. I could not for the life of me remember what this movie was called, until the word "Google" came to mind.
It's called "The Last Halloween". Here it is in three parts courtesy of YouTube. If you remember this, I hope you enjoy and if you don't remember it, well I hope you enjoy.

Ready To Ramble.
Where to begin?
Since I've last wrote in here quite a bit has happened in the world of the WWE, but sadly a lot has remained the same.
Very few guys have made it to that next level. Daniel Bryan has proven that he can be handed shit and turn it into gold. His recent storyline with Kane as the dysfunctional tag team champions has me laughing and watching.
Dolph Ziggler has been showing that no matter who he is in the ring with, he will steal the show. He's on the cusp of being a main player, but how can you suspend your disbelief and take him as a guy who could really get the job done when he keeps jobbing to guys? I hope when the time comes to take that next step, that the month or two prior to that he has a dominant win streak going.
Punk and Heyman teaming up was almost inevitable. It's great. Yea, Punk doesn't need Heyman as a mouthpiece, but he gives him that added layer of "heel" which has ended in him getting more boo's from the crowd than he has when he first turned. They compliment each other and from what I've read, they both are very hands on with their story. I trust those two and look forward to where it all ends up.
Speaking of CM Punk and where he ends up. I hope he ends up holding onto the title for more than 365 days. I really like how they keep telling us how long his reign has been. Some people say it's been lackluster. By some people I mean the greasy, fat asses with cheetoh stained sweatpants who live to play fantasy booker. I think he's done a great job with it and now with all the new wrinkles added to his "character", I'm even more excited. I would rather, if they're going to do it, Cena and Rock face each other at the Rumble, and Punk and Rock face off at Wrestlemania. Probably won't happen, but that's all speculation from one guy who is willing to wait and see where it goes and not pretend like I know how the business should be run.
The tag team division is exciting. PTP are charismatic and Primo and Epico are two of the best workers going, who are always entertaining to watch.
Could Ryback be the next IC Champ? Fuck, I hope not.
This entry will probably not reach more than three people and two of them will stumble upon here by accident and probably not make it this far. Either way, I just want to say how happy I am to hear of the recovery and return home of Jerry Lawler. The King has been a big part of my life, as a wrestling fan, since he arrived in WWE back in late 1992. His feud with Bret Hart was a classic and entertaining. He always added something to commentary, especially alongside his best friend, Good Ol' JR. Such a natural, incredible chemistry between those two legends who added so much more to even the greatest match.
It was a scary for all fans watching the night he had his heart attack live on RAW, and much like a lot of people, my mind was not focused on what was on my screen, but wondering, hoping and praying that Jerry was okay. Knowing he's going to make a full on recovery is amazing news and I cannot wait to hear him get back on RAW.

Wrestling in Radio
There's three things in life I compare most moments that happen with. Seinfeld, Simpsons and Professional Wrestling.
With the first two it's usually funny, weird moments that happen or characters that I have met in my life. But with professional wrestling, I make a lot of life comparisons.
No, I have not fought with someone to the point of putting them in a casket, nor turned my back on my best friend just because I wanted to wear a gold belt.
But the journey of life, when it comes to trying to establish a career, like with any career can be related to pro wrestling.
Allow me to make the comparison of Radio and Pro Wrestling.
It all starts with interest and desire. It can start when you're young, you become a fan and have that dream of being the one talking on-air, playing the music, which would be the same as wanting to be the one headlining the event at MSG.
The first step in this road to your dream is education. In both fields there are several schools all over the place, it;s finding one that suits you, whether its cost, location or reputation.
You get educated, and then it's time to pay your dues. In both radio and wrestling it's very rare to start out making even half decent money. In radio you start with the jobs of part time announcing, board operator, street team, etc or even volunteering. And in wrestling you're the guy in the opening match, making barely, if any money. Setting up the ring, the seats, promoting the show that will bring in 50 people to watch if you're lucky. But you take those experiences and you grow from them, adapt them to perfecting your craft.
You've improved to the point where you're getting steady employment. You're an on-air personality in a small market in a town of 1500 people, or maybe you're the promotions coordinator. You're thinking "yes, here we go. School has paid off and now I can spread my wings and get to the next step.".
In wrestling, you've signed on with an independent promotion, maybe it's Chikara, Dragon Gate, or Ring of Honor. Yes I know these guys do wrestle for other promotions as well, but there are contracts signed.
Time has passed, could be months, could be years, everyone is different in how they progress. You move to that bigger market in radio, your talent was recognized and the big fish station just had to have you there, you can help make it a better station in the market because of your talent. You get there, all excited and it can either be the best time of your life, or nothing like you expect and the politics are just too much to deal with, leaving you at a cross roads in life. Is this really what I want to do? Should I go back to the smaller stage? Or just pursue a whole new career all together? It can be frustrating and there might not be a right answer, just whatever you feel is best for you and your family if that is the case.
The same thing happens in wrestling. How many times have there been cases of that superstar of the indies making it to WWE and they just get eaten up by the political B.S. backstage. The games of "you're not a star after all." It's happened way too much, and leaves wrestlers thinking "Well, if you didn't think I was talented enough, why would you bother bringing me on board?" "Maybe I'm not as good as I thought."
It can leave a crippling effect mentally. Too many questions racing through your mind. Too many "what ifs?" It's about patience and passion, but at the same time about what you need to do financially. So many factors.
This was not an entry to tell people how they should pursue or approach a career. I'm just trying to relate two things I love, and showing that if you're confused about something in life, try and relate to something else and hopefully that will help you get a better understanding and help you when it comes time to making any big decisions.
