Where to begin?
Since I've last wrote in here quite a bit has happened in the world of the WWE, but sadly a lot has remained the same.
Very few guys have made it to that next level. Daniel Bryan has proven that he can be handed shit and turn it into gold. His recent storyline with Kane as the dysfunctional tag team champions has me laughing and watching.
Dolph Ziggler has been showing that no matter who he is in the ring with, he will steal the show. He's on the cusp of being a main player, but how can you suspend your disbelief and take him as a guy who could really get the job done when he keeps jobbing to guys? I hope when the time comes to take that next step, that the month or two prior to that he has a dominant win streak going.
Punk and Heyman teaming up was almost inevitable. It's great. Yea, Punk doesn't need Heyman as a mouthpiece, but he gives him that added layer of "heel" which has ended in him getting more boo's from the crowd than he has when he first turned. They compliment each other and from what I've read, they both are very hands on with their story. I trust those two and look forward to where it all ends up.
Speaking of CM Punk and where he ends up. I hope he ends up holding onto the title for more than 365 days. I really like how they keep telling us how long his reign has been. Some people say it's been lackluster. By some people I mean the greasy, fat asses with cheetoh stained sweatpants who live to play fantasy booker. I think he's done a great job with it and now with all the new wrinkles added to his "character", I'm even more excited. I would rather, if they're going to do it, Cena and Rock face each other at the Rumble, and Punk and Rock face off at Wrestlemania. Probably won't happen, but that's all speculation from one guy who is willing to wait and see where it goes and not pretend like I know how the business should be run.
The tag team division is exciting. PTP are charismatic and Primo and Epico are two of the best workers going, who are always entertaining to watch.
Could Ryback be the next IC Champ? Fuck, I hope not.
This entry will probably not reach more than three people and two of them will stumble upon here by accident and probably not make it this far. Either way, I just want to say how happy I am to hear of the recovery and return home of Jerry Lawler. The King has been a big part of my life, as a wrestling fan, since he arrived in WWE back in late 1992. His feud with Bret Hart was a classic and entertaining. He always added something to commentary, especially alongside his best friend, Good Ol' JR. Such a natural, incredible chemistry between those two legends who added so much more to even the greatest match.
It was a scary for all fans watching the night he had his heart attack live on RAW, and much like a lot of people, my mind was not focused on what was on my screen, but wondering, hoping and praying that Jerry was okay. Knowing he's going to make a full on recovery is amazing news and I cannot wait to hear him get back on RAW.
