Viva La Velasquez

After watching three weeks of UFC Primetime, the hype machine was in full force for the UFC Heavyweight Title fight between Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez at UFC 121.

I'm a big Lesnar fan. The man is a huge beast, with insane speed for being 265Lbs, but I couldn't help but feel doubt after seeing the training for his undefeated opponent, Cain Velasquez.

20 pounds lighter than Lesnar, Velasquez has remarkable endurance and stamina which would keep the steam in his engine if the fight were to go five rounds. But a five round fight was not the case, and history has been made as Cain Velasquez beat Brock four minutes into round 1, in an intense showing of timing and striking. Cain made history becoming the first Mexican heavyweight champion.

Here's the fight if you missed it, or at least curious

Junior Dos Santos is next in line for a title shot against Velasquez, which will be a helluva fight.

Brock is set to have his rubber match with Frank Mir.

Cole Harbours' TJ Grant is set to fight Ricardo Almeida at UFC 124 on Saturday, December 11th. Grant won his last fight at UFC 119 by Unanimous decision against Julio Paulino.
The event will be headlined by The Ultimate Fighter 11 coaches, Josh Koscheck and the UFC Welterweight Champion, Georges St. Pierre from Quebec.

As the kids say, it's going to be dope, son.
